Tutor/Mentor Institute, LLC – Your Innovation Inspiration
Who else do you know who has spent the last 35 years leading a big-city volunteer-based tutor/mentor program? Who else has been featured in dozens of media stories, like this one saying “There is a Master Plan for helping youth”?
Look at what people say about me on my Linked in Profile. Search Google for the words “tutor mentor” and see how often the search points to me and my ideas.
If you’re trying to build a master plan for your own community you don’t need to start from scratch. Invite me to spend time with you and your leaders so you can learn from what I’ve learned in the past 35 years and borrow some of the ideas I’ve developed as a result.
Let’s spend some time brainstorming together
A half day of my ideas - $1000
Get a half day of my time dedicated to building a tutor/mentor mobilization strategy in your community. I’ll help your leadership group understand the ideas and purpose behind the Tutor/Mentor Connection operating in Chicago and show how you and your leaders can take these ideas and build a more effective strategy in your own community. I’ll help you think through on-going communications strategies and learning programs that grow the involvement of people from the business, faith and university community supporting volunteer-based tutor/mentor programs in your own community.
Bring your community together - $2000
I will help you organize a tutor/mentor leadership and networking conference to be held in conjunction with similar conferences in Chicago and around the country. This connects your participants with tutor/mentor leaders in your own community and with other parts of the country, and turns your event into a catalysts that helps build public awareness for tutoring/mentoring and draws volunteers and donors to the various tutor/mentor programs in your community.
Knowledge Networking – minimum $500
Learn to use the Tutor/Mentor Institute Knowledge Library/Build your own program links library. I’ll do by-monthly web sessions to help you learn what information is in the Tutor/Mentor Connection on-line library and to show how you can use that information locally. I’ll create a section on the T/MC Find A Program web site with links to tutor/mentor programs in your community.
For a special annual fee I’ll lease you the Tutor/Mentor Program Locator and set this up to collect and share information about tutor/mentor programs in your own community.
Spread the vision - $750
I will deliver a one hour interactive keynote intended to help your community build the leadership and strategies needed to mobilize volunteers to support youth in tutor/mentor programs throughout your community. Pick any of the essays in the Library on the Tutor/Mentor Institute Library and I’ll spend an hour helping you and your community understand those ideas and how they can apply them locally.
Share my Knowledge - $500
Get a 1 hour workshop focused on planning, volunteer and student recruitment, communications and social media, network building, and other strategies related to operating volunteer-based tutor/mentor programs, drawn from my own 35 years of leading a tutor/mentor program in Chicago.
